Air, Rail & Road Links

By air
Stapleford is located within easy reach of several international and regional airports. East Midlands International Airport is only forty five minutes away by car.


International Airport at Birmingham is about an hour and half away, Luton an hour and a half and Heathrow, Stansted and Manchester International Airports are both approximately two hours by road.

All the airports have excellent rail links to the convenient stations at Grantham and Melton Mowbray.


Chauffeur driven transport can be arranged for you and we are happy to accommodate chauffeurs by prior arrangement.

By train
BY RAIL
Intercity trains from Kings Cross, London leave almost every hour and the journey takes just over one hour to reach Grantham. Collection from Grantham Station directly to the hotel can be arranged.


Rail links from other departure points can be provided on request.


To make your journey as easy as possible we can arrange chauffeur cars which are available on request at a small charge.


By road
TRAVELLING BY ROAD FROM LONDON - A1

The best road to take for Stapleford from London is the A1; travel north towards Grantham (approximately 90 miles). At the Colsterworth roundabout, turn left onto the B676, signposted Melton Mowbray drive about 9 miles, through the village of Saxby then turn left at the signpost into Stapleford.


USING THE M1 (Heading North from London)
You may of course wish to travel on the M1 Motorway; leave at Junction 21A, signposted A46 Leicester and Newark, and then turn on to the A607, signposted Melton Mowbray.


FROM MELTON MOWBRAY - all directions
Follow the Ring Road (A607) and signs for Grantham, staying in the left hand lane. At the traffic lights go straight across on to the B676 following signs to Saxby then Stapleford. This road bears round to your left and takes you out into the countryside, after 4 miles turn right at the signpost to Stapleford and Whissendine, turn left at the signpost for Stapleford Park.


FROM HEATHROW AIRPORT
Follow the M25 clockwise, past the M1 and take the A1, heading North. Then see directions above from A1.

 

Helicopters are available on request and the use of our landing pad is permitted.


FROM THE NORTH - USING Ml (Heading South)
Travelling down from the north, leave M1 Motorway at Junction 24, through Kegworth on the A6 then turn on to the A6006, following signs to Melton Mowbray.
From Melton Mowbray follow the instructions above.


FROM THE WEST - BIRMINGHAM AND ENVIRONS

Take the M42 North, to Junction 7 and join the M6 heading East towards Coventry At Junction 2 on the M6, take the M69 towards Leicester.

 

Join the Ml, heading North, for one junction only leave after Services at Junction 21A, signposted A46 Leicester and Newark, and then turn on to the A607, signposted Melton Mowbray.

 

From Melton Mowbray follow the instructions above.

We have a helicopter landing pad in the grounds, just north of the house, and would request that you inform us in advance if you are dropping in from the sky.
