Country Trusts Children Arrive at Stapleford Park

More than 20 children from the Country Trusts were at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel in Leicestershire to receive wellies donated by Shoezone, a multiple footwear retailer in the UK.

The children aged between 6 and 7 year old came from Caldecote Community Primary School in Leicester. They were delighted and extremely excited on hearing the news of the donation from Shoezone. Shoezone who is one of UK’s top multiple footwear retailer, currently has 397 branches throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland. Formerly known as “Bensonshoe” founded in 1917, which was acquired by the Smith family in 1980, to date it has seen rapid growth in sales in access of £140 million trading from 397 branches throughout UK and Republic of Ireland.

The donation took place at the magnificent 17th century Stapleford Park Country House Hotel. On hand to give away the wellies was representative from Shoezone, Mr Charles Smith, Chief Operating Officer who was quoted as saying, “This is a great opportunity for us to be involved with the community. Shoezone has always been active in providing a helping hand to the local communities. Today is a another great day for Shoezone, a day where we made smile on the faces of kids that needed support and a helping hand.”

After the donation, the children were treated to some goodie bags prepared by Stapleford Park and were given the opportunity to walk around the estate, and also had a chance to meet Bernard, Stapleford Park’s famous eagle owl. Gill Oliver from the Country Trusts says: “Today’s visit to Stapleford Park Country House Hotel was brilliant as it gave the opportunity for the children to not only see but also gives them new experiences and the visit was a fantastic way of introducing or bringing alive many subjects on the curriculum.
