There will be double celebrations at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel & Sporting Estate this week. 18 April 2008 marks the hotel’s 20th anniversary as well as 20 years of service for Cynthia Taylor, Head of Housekeeping.
Cynthia was one of the first member’s of staff when Bob and Wendy Peyton purchased the 14th century country house and lovingly transformed it into a luxurious hotel and sporting estate.
Cynthia said; “I joined as a Room Maid in 1988 and have seen so many changes over the years. However during that time, it’s safe to say that Stapleford Park has always maintained its charm and attention to detail. During my different roles at Stapleford Park I have seen many guests return time after time to enjoy the ambiance that is unique to the hotel.”
Shuif Hussain, Managing Director of Stapleford Park commented; “I am very proud of the loyalty and commitment that Cynthia has shown us. I think the fact that she has remained at Stapleford Park for 20 years reflects how much of a family we are and what a wonderful place it is to work.”
The hotel is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the first phase of a multi-million pound refurbishment. This has included the creation of three new fabulous suites in partnership with Osborne & Little, Nina Campbell and Lorca while the main public areas have been artfully refurbished by designer Russell Sage, who has seamlessly married the traditional with the contemporary.
