Stapleford Park Golf Course claims prestigious award from HSBC

Stapleford Park Country House Hotel & Sporting Estate recently won the prestigious HSBC Regional Gold Award for their magnificent golf course.

Stapleford Park’s championship style 18-hole golf course, which was designed by Donald Steel, has played host to numerous regional finals some of them including the HSBC Regional Amateur Match Play, The Faldo Junior Series, The PGA Regional Tournament to name a few. The golf at Stapleford Park as been regarded as one of the most challenging golf courses in the UK and it has been maintained immaculately for a privileged few and is described as millionaire's golf. Management of Stapleford Park is proud to have receive this prestigious award and will hope that there will be more future regional and national tournaments held at Stapleford Park.

HSBC's involvement and support for golf continues has continued year by year. In 2006 it provided lucrative sponsorship to four leading tournaments across the globe - namely the HSBC World Match Play Championship at Wentworth where the regional finals were held at Stapleford Park for the EastMidlands, the Women's World Match Play Championship in the USA, the HSBC Champions Tournament in China and the Indonesian Open in Jakarta.

The course at Stapleford Park is a rare exception, being in the delightfully pure setting of a Capability Brown landscape, with ever changing views of Stapleford Park’s stately home, its lakes and eight hundred acre park. This is classic English countryside at its very best. The course wraps around the heart of the parkland in two extended loops, never being more than two holes wide, making it unusually spacious and peaceful.
