Stapleford Park is delighted to launch the Stapleford Park Golf Challenge 2008 offering budding Tiger Woods’ the opportunity to play the Grand Final at the Pro Am of the European Senior Tour event in Brunei in February 2009 where Sam Torrance, Ian Woosnam and Bernard Gallacher are expected to play.

This competition solely focuses on participants’ actual scores on Stapleford’s Park’s championship level course. There are three leagues from which players must choose: The Stapleford Park Challenge Members League, The Stapleford Park Challenge Non-members League or The Stapleford Park Challenge Fun League. Although it is free to join the league, participants must play their qualifying rounds at Stapleford Park (green fees apply) enabling them to log their score via the online scoring system and track their leaderboard position against other players in the League.

The top 10 players from the Members League, 20 players from the Non Members League and 4 lucky draw winners from the Fun League will then meet to compete in the Challenge Final at Stapleford Park in October.

The winning two finalists will be flown out to Brunei by Royal Brunei Airlines and stay there for a week courtesy of the Empire Hotel and Country Club. The two finalists will play the Grand Final in Brunei during the week of the Aberdeen Brunei Senior Masters at the Empire Hotel and Country Club – one of the leading golf resorts in Asia. Here, the course boasts some of the most spectacular views in Brunei with the front nine holes overlooking the ocean from high ground, while the back nine reach to the sea.

The league season operates until 30 September 2008 so avid golfers have plenty of time to get practicing to be in for a chance of winning one of two prestigious places to play at the Grand Final.
